Fashion Business Inc. has recently been awarded a grant by Microsoft Corporation to provide free job skills training for the apparel industry. We currently have 30 slots available and are extending this offer for free training to laid off or displaced workers located in the greater Los Angeles area.
• Certified AIMS Apparel Training
Customized group training of Apparel Information Management Systems, a widely used apparel software program. Classes will be taught by certified AIMS trainers and adjusted to the level of the class attendees.
• Microsoft Excel for the Apparel Industry
Students will learn the functions of the Microsoft Excel program that are most commonly used for the apparel industry.
All classes will be taught by apparel industry experts. At the conclusion of the program students will be given a certificate of completion and assisted with resume preparation and job placement.
Applicant Qualifications:
• Candidates must have 2 years of corporate apparel experience or be a graduate of a 2 year apparel related college program.
• Candidates must have basic computer knowledge including basic Microsoft Word and Excel
• Candidates must have the flexibility to commit to a 8 weeks of evening training classes. (days and times to be determined)
